Owner and Staff

Hair Design and Day Spa at Knollwood is an upscale Salon-Spa located in south Champaign at 2219 S. Neil St., established in 1997 by owner stylist Robert Davis. Our staff is comprised of superbly trained cut and color specialists, nail techs, estheticians, and massage therapists. The Salon-Spa's focus has always been on services for the entire family. Please come and experience our special relaxing atmosphere.

Education and Training

Hair Design requires all recent graduates to complete our associate training program. For forty-four weeks recent graduates are given advanced training by a senior staff member. The training encompasses all aspects of color, perm, cuts, styling and nails. In addition our staff receives ongoing opportunities for advanced training.

For example, Patrick McGiver, Director of Hair Color and Design at Cutler Salon in Manhattan, NY, visited our staff for an onsite seminar in advanced Hair Color and Highlight Techniques. Patrick is the number one educator for Loreal-Redkin and is a Photo Shoot Stylist for Victoria's Secret, Elle and Bizarre. He has traveled to thirty eight states and ten countries teaching his incredible techniques.
